2023 Bluebird Charitable Fund

One of Bluebird’s primary missions is to participate in the well-being of our community. The agents and the company feel a duty to share in the responsibility of making sure that our people are properly served and cared for.

The Bluebird Charitable Fund was created at the inception of the firm in 2017 to serve the people of the Gunnison Valley. A portion of the closing commissions are donated to the Fund from the agents and the company for each and every transaction.

The Fund accumulates contributions throughout the year. A volunteer committee from Bluebird receives nominations from the members of the company for selected grants to local charitable causes, and all of the funds are delegated and delivered to the recipients at year-end.

This year, the Bluebird Charitable Fund supported:

CB State of Mind – mental health support

Gunnison Country Food Pantry – food support and services

Gunnison Valley Mentors – job and life skills support for youth

Gunnison Valley Women’s Network – business networking and support for women

Hispanic Affairs Project – life and work support for immigrant locals

Living Journeys – cancer support and services for cancer patients and families

Majestic Theatre – local non-profit theatre group

Oh Be Dogful Rescue and Sanctuary – rescue, housing, and adoption services for dogs

PAWS, Paradise Animal Welfare - rescue, housing, and adoption services for dogs

Project Hope – life support and services for women with domestic challenges

We offer a big thank you to our 2023 Charitable Committee: Allison Lee, Bet Egelhoff, Joel Vosburg, Maggie Dethloff, Ross Tunkey, and Trevor Bona, the Committee Chair.

Bluebird lives by the model of “bringing dreams home,” which serves both our clients and our community in meaningful ways.
