Maggie Dethloff | 2023 GCAR Realtor of the Year
Bluebird agent Maggie Dethloff was named the 2023 Realtor of the Year by the Gunnison-Crested Butte Association of Realtors!
Maggie Dethloff has been a resident of the Gunnison Valley since 1987, and she has been active in real estate for 22 years. Maggie refers to herself as the “back door realtor,” and what she means by this is that she prides herself in working with everyone, regardless of the location, price range, or financial ability. She sells expensive landmark properties, and she helps friends locate rooms to rent for free.
Maggie is an incredible resource in the community. She remains close friends with her clients, and they rely on her for information about everything from new housing regulations to the best plumber to call. Her tagline is “reliable, relatable, results,” and her client will attest to its truth.
She has been a leader in the Crested Butte Rotary Club for many years, serving on the annual Duck Race, the Grants Committee, the Scholarship Committee, and the CB Community School Dictionary Committee, among many other roles in service. She has been a CB Community School promotor and volunteer for the After Prom event for many years, advocating for safe fun for the high school kids.
Maggie serves on the CB South Metro District Board and the CB South STR group, where she is a resident. She has volunteered extensively and been a lead sponsor for many causes, including Living Journeys, Gunnison Valley Health, Tough Enough to Wear Pink, Pink in the Rink, CB Snowsports Foundation, CB PTA, and Project Hope, among others.
Her peers in real estate have great respect for her honesty and perseverance, knowing that she is one of the hardest-working agents in our Valley and that “the deal will get done if Maggie is on the other side.”
At Bluebird, Maggie has been the top-producing agent for multiple years. Her peers have elected her to be on the Bluebird Advisory Board twice, and she has served on the Bluebird Charitable Fund committee every year since she joined the firm. Maggie also received Bluebird’s True Blue Award in 2023 for Exceptional Service.
Personally, Maggie is always meeting friends for local events and coffee. She is very close to her two grown children, Ian and Izzie. She participates in two book clubs and is active with a mahjong group.
In summary, if you are lucky to be friends with Maggie, you have a true friend who will drop anything to be by your side. She is the genuine article at work, in the community, and with her friends and family.
